Charles F. Murphy, President of Charles F. Murphy, Inc., represents the third generation of the family owned business. Members of the fourth generation have been active in the business for several years.

In 1992, Charles F. Murphy, Inc. was joined by N.F. Ladd Insurance Agency, Inc. and The McDonald Insurance Agency, Inc., thus forming what is now called The Murphy Insurance Group. In 1994, we purchased Business Benefits Insurance Agency, Inc..

These alliances have allowed us to grow into one of the top 25 largest independent insurance agencies in Massachusetts as ranked by the Boston Business Journal.
